At Aird Donald Caravan Park, our site is equipped with numerous electric hook-up points covering both grass & hard standing areas for Caravans & Motorhomes. We do not have electric hook-ups for tents. Local services are located 1 mile from the site which include Supermarkets, Railway Station, Marina, Leisure facilities and the local town centre. The Surrounding area also has activities such as Horse Riding, Fishing, Clay Pigeon shooting, Paint Balling and much more.
“Our campsite has been in the same family since the 1960s when it was opened and operated by family members. While we are situated in a town, we have created an environment that provides an oasis of the countryside while still only one mile from the town centre.
We’ve planted over 5000 trees to provide shelter from the elements and the nearby town. This also provides natural areas for many species of wildlife and birds.
We’re not managers or employees, we are a family, and we love what we do.”
Electricity prices are rising. There is NO cap for commercial users such as our self. To limit price increases we now do not allow electric heaters to be used in Awnings on site ( its 70% wasted energy in the first place ).

Motor Homes ( Electric Hook-ups available ) – Maximum length 8mt and Maximum weight of 5 ton. Limited Non Electric gravel pitches for Campervans up to 7mt length.

At Aird Donald Caravan Park we do allow pets on site, but please keep Dogs on a lead at all times. There is a large wildlife population on and around the site and this is not only to protect the wildlife, but to protect you from losing your dog.
If you’re Traveling by ferry to or from Ireland, we are 7 miles from the Stena ferries, or only 6 miles from P&O ferries in Cairnryan, making us an ideal stop over point for your trip.
Stranraer Marina and Stranraer railway station, only 1 mile away.
We are open all year round for Touring Caravan & Motorhomes. Our Grass areas are open from the end of April to the end of September each year (weather depending, including areas for tents). At all other times the hard standing areas are open.
Long stay Toilet/Shower facilities and the Laundry are only available during the Summer Season. The Short stay Toilet/Shower building is open all year round.
